Timothy W. McElligott passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024 at the age of 83. He is predeceased by his parents, William & Myrtie McElligott, brother William (Denise), brother in-law Richard (Sharon) Loomis, sister-in-law Gordyne Loomis, and son-in-law Scott (Maureen) Karlnoski. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Ann; children Timothy (Mary) McElligott, Maureen (Scott) Karlnoski, Colleen McElligott; 7 grand- children, 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Patrick, Daniel, and Thomas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sunset House for their exceptional care during the final days.
Tim was a Veteran of the Army and a retiree from Hammer Lithograph. In his retirement he served as Code Enforcement Officer for both Town of Riga & Village of Churchville. He was an active member in the Churchville community serving on the Riga Town Council for 14 years and as a member of the Lions Club managing the medical loan closet for many years.
A funeral mass for Timothy will be held Saturday September 7, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Martin de Porres at St. Vincent Church (11 N. Main Street, Churchville, NY 14428). Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sunset House (3746 Saint Paul Blvd, Rochester, NY 14617) sunsethouse.info in Tim’s memory.
