Robert “Louie” Louis Astrella passed away on Friday, May 17th at the age of 78.
Predeceased by his parents Robert Lothrop Astrella and Mary Elizabeth (Noble) Astrella.
He is survived by his brother James Astrella and sister Margarita (Astrella) Wise; nephews Michael (Michelle) Astrella, Matthew (Jessica) Astrella, and nieces Jessica (Dale) VanVorst, Alison (Josh) Best, and Emily Wise.
Lou Astrella was a lifelong musician known in the Rochester Community for his passion about playing, perfecting and teaching the steel guitar. He also often played blues harmonica, and always loved to perform.
The family will be planning a musical celebration of life, featuring friends of Lou’s later this summer.
