Obituary of Thomas J. Rivers January 17, 2026

Thomas J. Rivers, 92, of Greece, NY, husband of Ann Rivers, passed peacefully on March 12, 2025.

Tom was born August 26, 1932, in his parent’s home in Irondequoit, New York, son of the late John and Melinda Rivers.  Tom graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1950. He served his country in Korea from 1952-1954. He played minor league baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals organization from 1954 -1955. He married Ann Judge on May 23, 1959, and has been happily married for 65 years. Together, they started their own business, Thomas J Rivers Adjusters, which they successfully operated for over 45 years.

Thomas is survived by the wife Ann Judge Rivers; four children Dr. Kathleen (Martin) Richardson, Ellen (Jim) Shoemaker, Greg (MaryAnn) Rivers and Julie (Chris) Hunt; eight grandchildren Chelsea, Emily, Jamie, Cole, Jeremy, Ryan, Abbey and Lindsay; and two siblings Mary Hart and Carolyn Flavin.

A private Memorial Service will be held for family only.  There will be no calling hours/visitation.
