Robert E. Dell 

April 13, 2023 at age 95. Survived by his wife Naomi “Pat”, children Jennifer (Rochester, NY), Jeffrey (Gallipolis, OH) and Jonathan (Bristol, RI), and seven grandchildren, sister-in-law Ruth Dell (Los Angeles, CA), niece Susan and nephew David. Predeceased by his brother Donald (Los Angeles, CA) and granddaughter Emily. 

Mr. Dell was Sr. Vice President & Trust Officer at Central Trust Company and retired from M&T Bank in 1993. He was active in the NY State Bankers Trust Division, serving in many of its committees and the Board of Directors for 2 terms. For 16 years he served on the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council, The Rochester Art Foundation, the Legal aid Society of the Friendly Home, and others.

After serving 2 years in the Army Signal Corp., he graduated from the University of Buffalo Business College and began his career in banking. He graduated from the Northwestern Graduate School of Banking in 1967. After his retirement, he and Pat traveled extensively, enjoyed time with their children and grandchildren and spent many hours on the tennis court. Bob was much loved and respected by those who knew him well.

As requested by Bob, there will be no service and funeral arrangements will be private. In his own words: “I wish to thank my family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances for enriching my life in so many ways. Sharing nearly 70 years with Pat by my side was a special joy. Farewell!
