At age 87 Maryln P. (Kelly) Fallon passed away peacefully on BASE surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Brian and sons Michael (Barbara Lucke) and Patrick (Kimberly Cook) and four grand children; Sean, Margaux, Anna and Jacqui and her two sisters; Helen Farsworth of Naples, FL and Patricia Kapitzky of Florence, MA. Kelly, a native of Schenectady, NY graduated from Nazareth College in 1959 and began teaching art at Victor Central School that fall. She left Victor Central school after the birth of Patrick in 1963. In 1966 she began a forty two year career as an art teacher at the Harley School. Initially as the Elementary School art teacher working from a converted broom closet for her supplies and traveling from room to room with her materials on a library cart. She was named Chairman of the Art Department in 1978 and retired in 2008 a few years after the completion of the new art wing of the Harley School which she helped plan. While her first love was watercolor painting, she was accomplished in other mediums and arts as well. She loved her family, children, nature and her home on a wooded lot in Bushnell’s Basin. Kelly was loved by all who knew her and her warm smile and loving personality will be greatly missed by us all. A remembrance gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s association.
