Mary Louise Jackson died in her home on February 2, 2025, at the age of 94.
She was born March 31, 1930, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to James and Helen Warmack. Her mother died when she was thirteen months old, so she was raised by her mother’s sisters.
She graduated from Oliver high school in 1948, and two years later married Louis Jackson, her husband of forty-nine years. Their marriage produced four children: June, Louis Jr, James, and Robert. The family moved to Rochester NY in 1963, and then to Webster, NY in 1966. Mary Louise went to night school to learn secretarial skills, then used those skills to start a twenty-seven-year career at Kodak. She rose from being a receptionist to an analyst position in the research department. She retired from Kodak in 1989.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Louis, her son James, and all her family that helped to raise her. She is survived by June, Louis (Catherine), Robert (Verna), and her grandchildren Joseph, Kelly, Morgan, Sienna, and Wyatt. She leaves behind her sister-in-law Helen Jackson, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was a wonderful person and an amazing mother. We will be touched by her love forever.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for later this spring.
