Thursday, June 13, 2024, after a painful battle with cancer Hans Evert Heyn passed away peacefully at age 85. Predeceased by his parents, Frans Adriaan and Johanna Cornelia, brother Rudolf Frans (Tet), wife Barbera Neeltje, son-in-law Thomas, and grandson Kevin. He is survived by his companion, Joyce; his brother Maarten (Reina), his brother-in-law Wim, and children Evert-Jan (Stella), Teun (Jill), and Heleen; grandchildren Sean, Alexandre (Rébéka), Allison (Brian), Miguel and Julien, and great-grandchildren Tristan, William, and Kaylee.
Hans was a wonderful person with a keen and inquisitive mind. He was an avid radio amateur, talented drawer, and painter (aquarelles). In his thirties he picked up skiing, tennis, and sailing to do sports with his children. After retirement he volunteered for the Coastguard as a radio operator.
A celebration of life will be held July 20th at 11:00 AM at Risen Christ Lutheran Church (1000 Moseley Rd. Fairport, NY, 14450).
