Meet the Family at Cremation Service of Western New York December 17, 2024

The holiday season is here, bringing with it a time for reflection, togetherness, and honoring cherished memories, we felt it would be fitting to introduce the dedicated individuals behind Cremation Service of Western New York.

Since our founding in 1991, our mission has remained the same: providing compassionate, personalized cremation services with dignity and respect. As a locally owned and family-operated service, we are committed to treating every family with the same care and empathy we would want for our own loved ones.

Today, we are proud to introduce the compassionate professionals who make this mission possible: Matthew T. Cup, Amanda Leckinger, and Robert E. Dierna, Jr.

Matthew T. Cup

Matthew T. Cup has been a trusted member of our team since 2008. Born and raised in Rochester, he graduated from Livonia High School and earned his degree from SUNY Canton.

His dedication to the families we serve has guided countless individuals through some of life’s most difficult moments. With a deep connection to the community he grew up in, Matthew’s compassionate care ensures that every family’s unique wishes are honored with respect and understanding.

Amanda Leckinger

A proud Rochester native raised in Ontario, NY, Amanda Leckinger joined Dierna Funeral Home in 2018 and quickly became an invaluable part of our team.

Amanda is a graduate of Wayne Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College, where she earned her degree in mortuary science before becoming a licensed funeral director in 2020. Her balance of professional knowledge and heartfelt empathy helps guide families through the cremation process with patience, support, and understanding.

Robert E. Dierna, Jr.

With deep roots in the community, Robert E. Dierna, Jr. (Bob Jr.) has dedicated his life to serving local families. A graduate of East Ridge High School and the Simmons Institute of Funeral Service Inc., Bob has been working in funeral services since 1979.

Beyond his professional work, Bob is actively involved in various local organizations and community groups. His passion for helping others ensures that every service is a meaningful tribute that reflects the life and legacy of each loved one we are honored to serve.
