Garry Bennigsohn, 90, of Rochester, NY, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2024.

He was born in Berlin, Germany. Having survived the Holocaust, he chose to pursue the American dream and come to the United States by himself at the age of 15. Here he had many transitions and challenges along the way. He joined the Air Force serving during the Korean War and became a US citizen. Later he pursued the trade of tool and die maker where he worked at Xerox for many years. After retiring, he used his skills of precision to make tall ship replicas which are cherished in the homes of his family.

He is predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Elisabeth Bennigsohn, and his wife, Patricia Bennigsohn. He is survived by his three children, Arnold (Karen) Bennigsohn, Aldo (Cheryl Lee) Bennigsohn, Lillian (Roger) Loth, six grandchildren, Steven (Susan) Bennigsohn, Kristy Bennigsohn, Adam Bennigsohn, Brandon (Shelly) Bennigsohn, Bradley (Ari) Bennigsohn, Kara (Kevin) Boysel, and 10 great grandchildren. Also, two nieces, Christine (Jay) Roth, Cheryl Jean (Christopher) Wightman and great nieces and nephew.
