Rosalie Karen Celestino received her wings on April 8, 2023 and became an angel after a long battle with COPD. She was 81 years old.
It would be a mistake to say that Rosie lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she would not give up. Through her, we know what strength and grit truly look like. And when it was time to let go, Rosie did with exceptional grace.
She had two biological children but was a mother to many more. Her special niece, Nicole, said, “Rosie was a Rochester legend,” known for a gracious heart, selfless deeds, and being the bell of the ball! Rosie had “Helping Hands,” and being present for the people she loved gave her the most joy.
Rosie is survived by her son Robert, daughter Toni Ellen, daughter-in-law Rita, grandchildren Joseph and Danelle, and great-grandson Ethan. A memorial celebration will be held on April 17, place and time TBA.
