Mary Magdalene Wilson, 82, of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Mary was born and raised in Ridgway, PA and moved to Rochester, NY when she was 23.
Mary, known as “Grandma Mary” to many, had the biggest heart in what most saw as a small package. A servant at heart, she was a kind and thoughtful soul who touched many lives. When she wasn’t supporting her family and friends, you could find her volunteering at church.
Mary is survived by her children, Stephen (Lisa) Wilson and Sharon (Thomas) Stefano; her grandchildren, Jena (Matthew) Morey, Kyle (Rebecca) Stefano, Breanna Stefano, Colleen Stefano, Hailey Wilson, and Brandon Wilson; her great-grandson, Carter Stefano “her sunshine”; her siblings, Jean (Edward) Marchok, James (Bonnie) Casolo, and James Carbardi, plus other nieces, nephews, cousins and many caring friends.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Magdalene and Severin Casolo; husband, Dale Wilson; sister, Patricia Carbardi; and Doncia Pire Cliff, who she loved as her own.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 29th, 2023, at 10:00am at Joy Community Church (890 North Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14609). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Joy Community Church (890 North Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14609) or Webster Comfort Care Home (700 Holt Road, Webster, NY 14580).
